Situation

  • We need a uniform way to collaborate to this repo
  • The production ready content that is published is on main branch
  • The staging is development branch
  • Any changes to development must go through a PR from a different branch
  • Once staging is done on development, we merge dev to main to publish the books

Procedure

  • create new branch out of development
  • make changes
  • make a PR to merge to development
  • get reviewed
  • content is merged to development
  • we update the books online (see here: #32) by merging developement to main
