ThreeFold’s Zero OS was built from the ground up on a Linux Kernel to have the most secure, lightweight and efficient Internet infrastructure.

It has no shell, local or remote, making it impossible for Farmers to access data on a hardware level. Files are deduped and fingerprinted, meaning no more data duplication and minimal hacking footprint.

## Proof of Capacity
|
|||
|
|
|
|||
|
|
Proof-of-Capacity (PoC) is a unique algorithm that detects the Internet capacity available on the Threefold Grid, verifies the authenticity of the connection and stores it in the blockchain database.
|
|||
|
|
|
|||
|
|
The PoC records CPU, RAM, SSD/HDD to define the total capacity of the grid before driving the minting consensus and allowing minting to happen.
|
