mycelium 0.5.4 / 0.5.5 version, first good enough version for 10k users #91

requirements

  • windows, osx, iphone, android client
    • mobile is flutter
    • desktop will be based on https://dioxuslabs.com/
    • switch on/off mycelium on all clients
    • see status to some chosen points (some ping test ?) (moved to 3.16 here: #136)
    • add peers to config
    • need to be usable, look feel ok, not too heavy
  • manual how to install on the different platforms (for another issue)
  • reliable, it always reconnects
  • inside ZOS as base layer: access to ZDB, flists can be retrieved over Mycelium

release

  • 0.5.4 will be released 20 Aug, we will test asap on testnet/devnet, wedn it can be uploaded to testnet/devnet
  • 0.5.5 will be release end Aug (adding UI)

UI will be handled in a separate repo (github.com/threefoldtech/myceliumflut), since that already exists on mobile with an embedded mycelium library so this is the easiest to extend.

Status

  • 0.5.5 is released (yeah!)
  • Can have up to 10K users as the specs required
  • TODO: GUI mycelium
  • We close this issue for the 0.5.5 part, we create a new one for the GUI part.

who owns this story, an owner is not necessarily the one who executes on the deliverables, its someone who is willing and capable to make sure a story gets executed in the timeline we had defined, and escalates if issues arise
