Situation

We want to simplify 3.15 grid release with some priorities. Here is a basic version of the story to get started.

Summary

  • Grid stack: we want to have 3 independent grid stacks running on ubuntu bare metal using docker compose (not on ZOS/tfgrid)
  • Network security and rules: we have important security issues to fix quickly, we want to develop clear cyber security rules with accountability, authentication (know the rules are coming from us, etc.)
  • QSFS: we want to have qsfs accessible for users to deploy on the grid, in an accessible way
  • ZOS 4 Alpha: we want a parallel zos that is simple and effective: mycelium+yggdrasil (network redundancy), webgateway, zerodb
  • Mycelium 0.5: release mycelium 0.5

References

QSFS

QSFS is linked with ZOS 4 alpha part as we want to finish QSFS and then integrate it into a VM with the ZOS alpha 4 specs

  • product
    • VM with mycelium+yggdrasil, webgateway, zerodb
      • do quantum safe storage inside the VM
  • need to make it stable
  • qsfs not for now native on zos
  • first we want to make it work on a VM

Network Security and Rules

  • cyber security
    • cyber rules
    • ways to deploy them
    • where to get rules from
    • accountability
    • how to know rules are coming from us
      • signatures, authentification

ZOS 4 Alpha

  • ZOS alpha version
    • run in parallel of the current grid
    • VM with mycelium+yggdrasil, webgateway, zerodb

@mik-tf we could have renamed the project of 3.15 to 3.16
created a new project 3.15 and link these 5 stories into it

LMK if it's OK. Feel free to update this issue and others for 3.15 (the new 3.15) if I missed something. I might have the basics but we can surely add more content/info.

Status Grid Stack:

The grid stack project is going well. Bert and Maxime are doing a lot of work.

There are now many grid backends in different countries and we are working on the ops side with deploying the grid stack with hub and bootstrap.

Bootstrap and hub are almost done. Some stuff would need the help of the devs. I write the issues that need attention.

@thabeta if you want, we can discuss this in the next meeting next week.
