Website Feedback for Persona 3: Potential/Existing Plug & Play Farmers
🧭 Navigation & Accessibility
Unclear Entry Point for Plug & Play Farmers: The website does not clearly identify a section tailored specifically for users looking to purchase and plug in pre-built 3Nodes. It assumes a level of prior knowledge and technical confidence.
Vendor Links Are Hidden or Disconnected: Links to certified 3Node resellers (like Duck Farm Data, HostService, GreenEdge, etc.) are difficult to locate from the main site. There should be a vendor showcase or "Where to Buy" section that makes it easy for non-technical users to find approved hardware.
Overlapping Terminology: New users may not understand the difference between DIY farming, plug & play farming, and pre-staked/hosted nodes. These options should be clearly delineated.
📄 Content Depth & Buyer Confidence
No Product Showcase or Comparison Chart: The site lacks a comparison table of the different certified plug-and-play 3Nodes on the market. This makes it harder for a potential farmer to evaluate options.
Unclear Value Proposition: There’s no clear content explaining the benefits of plug & play (e.g. no need to configure BIOS, guaranteed compatibility, vendor support, faster setup, etc.).
No Beginner-Friendly Walkthroughs: There are no unboxing, setup, or onboarding walkthroughs showing how simple plug-and-play farming can be — which is a missed opportunity for users who are intimidated by tech.
Shipping, Warranty, and Vendor Trust Signals Missing: For potential buyers, practical purchase concerns (return policies, warranty, repair, country of origin, shipping time, customs) aren’t addressed anywhere on the main site.
📢 Community & Trust Building
No Customer Stories: There are no visible customer stories or reviews from real plug-and-play farmers. A simple wall of testimonials or short video interviews could build major trust.
No Vendor Endorsements or Ratings: Vendors aren’t profiled with badges (e.g. “Top Seller”, “EU-based”, “Ships to NA”), so the marketplace feels decentralized but uncurated. Plug & play buyers often want guidance.
Scattered Ecosystem View: Users may not understand how their plug-and-play node fits into the broader ThreeFold ecosystem — whether it's actively supporting apps, Web3, AI, or earning passively.
🔧 Support & Setup Journey
No Setup Timeline: New plug-and-play farmers are left guessing how long it takes from order to setup. A timeline visual (e.g. Buy → Ship → Plug → Register → Earn TFT) would ease concerns.
No Maintenance Clarity: What happens if something goes wrong? What is the vendor's vs ThreeFold’s responsibility? These boundaries need to be better defined.
No Monitoring Dashboard Examples: Buyers should be shown what they’ll see once their node is live — uptime reports, earnings, node map presence, etc.
💰 Financial Expectations
Reward Clarity Still Missing: Like DIY farmers, plug & play users need to understand potential ROI. There is no simple calculator or even anecdotal earnings examples per device model.
Upfront Cost vs Earning Models Not Explained: Many plug & play nodes cost $500–$3,000. But users can’t easily calculate how long it takes to break even or what uptime is expected.
🎨 UX & Design
Homepage Doesn’t Speak to Plug & Play Farmers: The homepage and “Take Action” sections speak in general visionary terms or technical terms. Plug & play users need a section that says “Buy a node, plug it in, earn rewards.”
Product Photos & Real-Life Setups Missing: Without visuals of real plug-and-play nodes (on a desk, in a home, etc.), the experience lacks tangibility. These visuals build emotional trust and help people imagine themselves participating.
