Delete branch "%!s()"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
Summary
Once a comment or a reply is posted, its text cannot be edited. The comment thread UI exposes only
Reply,Resolve, andDeleteactions — there is no way to fix a typo or amend a comment without deleting it and posting a new one.Steps to reproduce
Expected
Each comment / reply offers an
Editaction (typically restricted to theauthor) that lets the user update the body text in place. The thread
preserves its position, timestamp, and ID; the UI may indicate the entry
was edited.
Actual
No edit allowed on either the top-level comment or replies.
To correct any text, the user must delete the entry and re-post it.
